The date is set! Our pastor has it reserved and we booked the church! Reserve that day everybody!!! 128 days to go! YEAH!!!

It's official!

You know how every little girl dreams of the day she gets to wear the huge gorgeous white dress! It is actually happening! Mom and I along with a couple other amazing people spent a little less than 48 hours and without looking too hard found the absolute perfect dress. I couldn't be more thankful and excited! I can't thank my parents enough for all the generous support and encouragement they are doing to make this day so special!!! I'm so excited! It's actually happening! We set the date and I now have a dress on it's way! I'm so excited! (i also found this pretty cute dress for bridesmade dresses... I like the cut alot. We'll see what happens!)

Very first time dress shopping!

Mom and I went dress shopping today! We went to two places in Springfield and my goodness I would be happy with pretty much every dress I tried on! They were all beautiful in there own totally different way. We are going up tomorrow to Lebonan to meet with the Family to try and narrow it down... or add to. Hopefully we will find the perfect one!

WE ARE ENGAGED!

It's been twelve days now! How did it happen? Garrett invited me out to dinner. I had been wanting to dress up fancy with him for a date for months. It seemed like he had finally liked the idea. So I put on a dress and was so happy when my handsome boy showed up at my door. Mom took some pictures of us (which is perfectly normal) But we headed of to Big Ceader for dinner. Not so used to that for sure! Earlier in the day I garrett called me and let me look at the menu online so I could think and figure out what I wanted to order. We had an appetizer called HOUSE SMOKED ROCKBRIDGE TROUT it came with Avocado, Caper Berries, Mixed Field Greens, Horseradish Cheese, Lavosh... to much information probably but it was good. I can't quite remember what we each ordered for dinner but they were different kinds of pasta. We had a gorgeous view and I enjoyed every bit of doing something special and all dressed up. During dinner Garrett and I added up how many days we had been dating and we talked about some of our favorite times most crazy times and it was really fun. Well, we got done eating our amazing dinner and garrett had this great idea that we should take a walk. Being Shelly Cain we didn't get to far before we were stopped and taking pictures. (we were all dressed up right) : ) well we eventually got back to our walk. It was absolutely beautiful there was this bridge overlooking the lake as the sun was setting we stopped and watched... (I get butterflies still) Garrett at that perfect place got down on his knee pulled out a little box and opened it slowly... saying something like on this sixhudreath and something something day of being together with you... Shelly Victoria Cain will you marry me? ? ? and I at this point balling said YES YES YES YES YES! (later he asked me if I even said yes) YES of course! So he put the gorgeous perfect ring on my finger and it was completely hard to believe it was happening! We are both so so excited about this time in our lives and know that God has made all of this come together in His perfect timing and will continue to. Please be praying for us as we seek His will and love each other with our lives.
